Welcome to Copper Point Veterinary Hospital, a full-service small animal hospital. I am Dr. Allen Privette, and after 20+ years practicing veterinary medicine, I have decided to pursue the next chapter in my career, my own private practice. My goal is to treat every patient that enters our door as if they are my own.

You might be wondering, why the name Copper Point?

Both the name and logo were inspired by Skeeter (aka Skee), my Australian Shepherd sidekick for over 16 years. The Australian Shepherd breed's recognized colors (blue merle, red merle, solid black, solid red) include with or without white markings and tan or "copper" points. In addition to his calm demeanor and relentless pursuit of treats, Skee was known for his blue eye and his deep copper points.

One of my favorite quotes is "Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong."- W.R. Purche. This aligns with my belief that Skee was the best dog in the world.

I am sad to say Skee left this world in February 2021. My wife Linda and I chose the name 'Copper Point Veterinary Hospital' to keep Skee's legacy alive. For us the name signifies the qualities in Skee we will strive to embody..... loyalty, consistency, and kindness, with the occasional touch of silliness and humor.
